This is a game that a wide age range can enjoy. So check out the user-created content too, and maybe try making something of your own. This game even includes its own track editor and "livery editor" for vehicle skins. The whole game just looks great, and you can tell a lot of effort went into making it. The vehicles are unique and beautifully crafted. The larger-than life courses make this game so much more fun than traditional racing games in my opinion. there are loop-de-loops, jumps, and chomping dinosaur mouths to pass through at the right timing. There are special track elements throughout the courses that keep things interesting, like booster strips and elecromagnetic strips that allow you to defy gravity while you're on them. This is based on my experience always playing in docked mode - sorry but I haven't played in handheld mode yet. When it comes to the racing experience, the game is very performant. Racing in this game is addictively FUN! The racing is fast, fluid, and smooth. You can sort of do this by holding the Y button after the race, but if you do this you forfeit the coins you earned! To keep your coins you must press A and wait through the load screens all over again. An option to keep the course data in RAM and immediately do another race would have been nice. I appreciate the beautiful environments the artists have crafted, but if I could trade some of that detail for faster loading between races I definitely would. Something not to love about this game is the LOAD TIMES. So you can either purchase cars as DLC or earn them by grinding in-game.
